A note from Shadow's owner, Michelle:

Shadow owned our hearts for 12 great years. He lived a life other dogs would be jealous of. He hogged the bed, and snored like a human. He had his own couch in front of the window. He was our very best friend. He ran us not the other way around. We miss him terribly.

Shadow was the perfect dog. He was our angel and now he has his wings. Enjoy the pain free peace buddy! Shadow showed us the meaning of devotion and loyalty. He taught us patience and the true meaning of "man's best friend."

Shadow's heart was huge, he loved everybody. We all loved him too. He had a heart attack last January and came back to us. He was so stubborn he wouldn't give in. He was a very devoted friend. Right down to the end he showed his devotion.

We thank Mary from the bottom of our hearts for selling us the best investment we ever made. He was the love of our life. We cannot thank you enough Mary. The tears are endless and I know you share in those.

Shadow aged with grace, never showing one ounce of discomfort. He would tell Taylor off if she got too close to "his Dad!" He owned us all and didn't like invasions of his territory. He did welcome Taylor into his life and they became fast friends. Taylor misses him too.

We have lost a big piece of our family. Shadow you wear your wings proudly buddy you have earned them! We love you. Daddy said no more dogs on the bed, but you taught Taylor well. She doesn't take no for an answer!
